Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about ordering, shipping, RFQs, supplier verification and how the BestDealz sourcing model works.

Placing an order

How do I place an order on BestDealz?

Add items to your cart, click checkout, fill in delivery details, choose a payment method and confirm. We email a receipt and tracking link within minutes of payment.

Do I need an account to buy?

No — guest checkout is supported. Creating a free account lets you track orders, save favourites, submit RFQs and build sourcing projects.

What's the minimum order quantity?

For Class A (Ready to Ship from SA), there is no MOQ. Class B (Direct Import from China) and Class C (Drop-Ship) MOQs vary per product — see the price-tier block on each product page.

Can I order from multiple suppliers in one cart?

Yes. Cart items are split into supplier-specific shipments at checkout, but you pay once.

How do I get a bulk / wholesale price?

Use the price-tier ladder on product pages, or submit an RFQ for a custom quote on quantities over 100.

Shipping & delivery

Where do you ship to?

Anywhere in South Africa. Outlying areas may incur a remote-area surcharge — confirmed at checkout.

How long does delivery take?

Class A (SA stock): 2–5 business days. Class B (Direct Import): 25–45 days door-to-door including customs. Class C (Drop-Ship): 5–10 business days.

How much does shipping cost?

For Class A & C, shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions to your postcode. For Class B, the product price already includes landed cost (duty, VAT, freight).

Can I track my order?

Yes. Every order gets a tracking link via email and SMS. Use the order-tracking page or your dashboard for real-time status.

Do you ship to PO Box addresses?

Couriers require a physical street address. Please provide your business or residential address.

Payments

What payment methods do you accept?

Credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard), PayFast, Yoco, SnapScan, instant EFT and direct bank transfer for verified business buyers.

Is my payment secure?

All transactions are PCI-DSS compliant and processed over HTTPS. We never store card data — payments are tokenized by our PSP.

Do prices include VAT?

Yes. All displayed prices include 15% South African VAT. A tax invoice is issued automatically.

Can I pay later or on terms?

Verified business buyers with a 6-month history can apply for 30-day net terms. Contact sales for the application form.

Do you offer instalments?

Yes — PayJustNow and Mobicred are available at checkout on qualifying orders over R 500.

Returns & refunds

What is your return policy?

Class A & C: 14-day return window for unopened goods. Class B (Direct Import): returns are case-by-case under the Trade Assurance scheme — defects and non-conformance are always covered.

How do I start a return?

Open your order from the dashboard, click "Request return", and choose a reason. We email a return shipping label within 24 hours.

When do I get my refund?

Refunds are processed within 3 business days of the warehouse confirming the return. Card refunds take 5–10 days to reflect; EFT is 1–2 days.

Who pays return shipping?

If the product was faulty, damaged or incorrectly shipped — we cover return shipping. For change-of-mind returns, the buyer pays return courier.

Suppliers & RFQs

How are suppliers verified?

Every supplier on BestDealz passes a 7-point audit: business registration, BEE/CIPC checks, factory or warehouse photos, product samples, reference contacts, banking verification, and bilingual onboarding interview.

What is an RFQ?

Request For Quotation — describe the products and quantities you need, and within 24 hours we route your enquiry to 3–5 matched verified suppliers and consolidate the best offer.

Is the RFQ service free?

Yes. The buyer pays nothing extra for RFQs. Our margin is built into the supplier price.

Can I contact a supplier directly?

Buyers communicate with suppliers via the BestDealz dashboard for traceability and Trade Assurance coverage. Direct off-platform contact voids the protection.

I'm a supplier — how do I list?

Visit the Become a supplier page and submit your application. Onboarding takes 3–7 business days.

Class A / B / C explained

What does Class A mean?

Ready to Ship — stock held in a South African warehouse. Delivered in 2–5 days, no import paperwork, no FX risk.

What does Class B mean?

Direct Import — sourced directly from a Chinese factory. Price includes door-to-door freight, customs duty and VAT. Lead time 25–45 days.

What does Class C mean?

SA Drop-Ship — local third-party supplier ships directly to you. 5–10 day delivery, payment held in escrow until delivery confirmed.

Which class should I choose?

Class A for urgency (in stock locally). Class B for the lowest unit price on volume orders. Class C for niche items not held in our warehouse.

Can I mix classes in one order?

Yes. Each shipment is tracked separately but you pay once. You'll see the breakdown at checkout.
